Nazarene Bible College Provides Web Development Services to World Areas
A few years ago I read a book titled The World is Flat. The author reminds us how small the world has become and of the many opportunities everyone has to be involved in the lives of people that may live thousands of miles away. Nazarene Bible College has been able to capitalize on this concept through Internet technology and is privileged to provide technical support to a number of world area Nazarene colleges. This partnership with other colleges enables the sharing of resources to maximize the opportunities made available by new technologies.
This partnership is especially evident in Africa, where NBC has been able to assist with the development of web sites and online delivery technology.
In West Africa the Nazarene Theological Institute is committed to developing Christian leaders for ministry. The institute is a bi-lingual now offering 29 courses in Bible, theology, and practical ministry. Courses are offered in English and French.
In Swaziland the Nazarene Higher Education Consortium (http://www.nahecsz.org) as a university includes the College of Education, the College of Nursing, and the College of Theology. This Nazarene University has a history that dates back to the 1920s and is now moving into the world of online education.
In South Africa the Nazarene Theological College (http://www.nazcol.ac.za) now offers a Bachelor of Theology degree through distance education technology enabling the college to reach well beyond the borders of South Africa.
NBC is also working with African Nazarene University in Kenya to provide online education (http://online.anu.ac.ke) to students throughout Africa.
