Dashing forward to a new year
Anticipation abounds at Nazarene Bible College, with events great and equally great on the horizon. Upcoming events are so hot they'll tame winter's frosty disposition. We can hardly wait to get started at NBC.
May's graduation will be here before we know it. In the meantime, there's a complimentary Pensions and Benefits Banquets that promises to sizzle with delightful food and indispensible info. It's for 2010 graduates, and will be held at the classy Broadmoor Hotel on January 8th at 6:30 pm. Students - bring a guest, it's complimentary for them too!
On the heels of the Pensions and Benefits Banquets is the Winter Banquet. Students taking 4 or more credit hours are free! It will be held Jan 16th at the Doubletree Hotel from 6 to 9 pm. Both campus and online students are invited. It's only $20 for spouses and guests, and childcare is free.
Soon after is the Cross-Cultural Orientation (CCO) workshop. Interested in missions? If yes, this will provide vital information. It's February 26th to 27th and it will discuss cross-cultural ministry through the Church of the Nazarene.
These are just a few of the upcoming events. Additionally, we'll continue to provide unsurpassed online education for adults and those with disabilities. To accomplish this, NBC is hard at work ensuring its online education program conforms to standards developed by CCA Transparency by Design and the National Center on Disability and Access to Education (NCDAE).
Accreditation is equally important to quality education. Besides ABHE, NBC is regionally accredited by The Higher Learning Commission. HLC mandates periodic reaccreditation, which is nearing for NBC, and preparations are well underway. The good news is that NBC consistently adheres to HLC's high standards, which streamlines the process.
With "don't-miss" events fast approaching, 2010 is ready to take off. Just as exciting, partnerships with Transparency by Design and NCDAE are proceeding smoothly. Moreover, NBC is rapidly approaching reaccreditation with HLC. It's going to be another memorable year!
