NAZ Family Music Camp Comes to NBC
These days, adult colleges tend to be located in regionally based centers (office buildings with classrooms). Yet Nazarene Bible College remains unique to our area by providing a true campus experience for students attending locally. Due to that fact, NBC's campus is able to host a variety of special events throughout the year. One event that stirs up excitement each summer is the NAZ Family Music Day Camp for Band and Piano.
This year, more than 80 people participated in the camp making its third year another great success. Families traveled from around the United States to enjoy a week filled with fantastic performances by special guests like the Fountain Creek Brass Band, good food, and great music that was enjoyed by all. Dr. Steven Grimo, Music Department Chairman said, "We had a terrific combination of outstanding teachers and willing students which made for a great time of making music, fellowshipping, and having FUN!"
One camper's feelings were, "This camp has been the best experience for me since NAZ began three years ago! Good Job done by all!" Although this event is tailored to those with musical experience, there was unquestionably something for everyone to enjoy. Families were able to see Colorado Springs in all its beauty and the camp concluded with a much-anticipated final concert that highlighted everyone's talent wonderfully. Music is such a beautiful form of art and is something NBC has cherished from the very beginning. God blesses our college continuously and having these gifts brought to our campus is just another way He reminds us how privileged we are.
