Merry Christmas to All
The day has finally come, Christmas is here! We've been waiting all year to celebrate this momentous occasion. This is a time to be grateful and a time for celebration. Today is the day we celebrate the birth of our Savior. He gave up his life to forgive and ultimately rid us of our sins. We dedicate this time to cherish these events and to remember the great sacrifices He made for us.
Families gather from all around to experience love and have a great time together. Many save up their vacation hours just to spend a little more time with their loved ones and friends. Families come together to open up gifts and eat delicious food. Hot apple cider, eggnog, cranberry sauce, and pies of all kinds along with ham, mashed potatoes and gravy are the favorites among many. Some make gingerbread houses and others make little gingerbread men. In preparation for Santa's arrival, the children will set out their cookies and milk and anxiously lie in bed.
When the moment comes to finally open all the gifts, the children's eyes fill with excitement. It's almost a shame to tear open such beautifully wrapped presents, but the joy they bring really can't compare. At the end of the night, our bellies hurt from all the laughter and great food, but its times like these we will never forget.
As we lead into Christmas and the New Year, please enjoy a series of our chapel advent services that have filled everyone with joy and warmth. From NBC, we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and we will see you in the New Year. May God bless you all!
