Flying Files
It was another beautiful winter's day here on the Bible College's campus in Colorado Springs. The sky was a deep blue and there were wisps of white clouds coming from the Rocky Mountains. Pikes Peak was still wearing a respectable covering of snow but the rest of the Front Range was clear. The air was calm and cool with a sweet smell as spring was only a day or two away.
So, what was so special about this particular day? Well, it was moving day for our registrar office. After months of planning their equipment, files, and folks were all leaving the familiar and comforting surroundings of the Sanders building and heading over to the Brand Center, which I might add is a relatively new and beautiful building. Nevertheless, change is often stressful and there is nearly always a dreadful fear of the unknown.
Well, as you can see in the picture, fully loaded half-ton fireproof filing cabinets were flying through the air. From the one building to the other, the gang from RMS Cranes gently and safely moved a half-dozen cabinets that were full of some of our most important documents. It really was a sight to behold.
Within a few hours, all of the heavy lifting was done and everyone was settling into his or her new digs. With files safe and knickknacks spread all around, it actually started to look a little like home. Two days later, everyone in the Brand Center came together for a time of fellowship. It wasn't long and everyone was back to work serving our students and of course our Lord and King as one team under God.
