Description
The position is responsible for the comprehensive management, integrity, and strategic use of the Raiser’s Edge NXT database. The role serves as the primary expert on data administration, focused on maintaining accurate, reliable, and high-quality information to support the college’s fundraising, alumni relations, and donor stewardship efforts.
$18-20/hour
Primary Duties
- Constituent Management: Creates and maintains new records for alumni, donors, and prospects with appropriate coding ensuring recognized data entry and integrity practices;
- Gift Processing: Process all donations, accurately update and maintain constituent and gift data, and ensure timely receipting and gift acknowledgements per best practice;
- Financial Reconciliation: Prepare batch deposits and work collaboratively with the Finance Department to assist with reconciliation processes and audit requests;
- Data Integrity & Quality: Maintain data standards, manage data integrity, and facilitate regular database hygiene and maintenance efforts such as duplicate record management, NCOA address changes, email and cell phone updates, deceased record updates, and other biographical updates;
- Reporting and Analytics: Create and manage queries, reports, lists for various communications, and exports to support fundraising goals and data-driven decision-making;
- Assist with the creation and utilization of online donation forms and crowdfunding tools in Raiser’s Edge NXT;
- Fundraising Support: Actively support the planning, tracking, and execution of fundraising initiatives contributing to the donor development process;
- Administrative Support: Provide accurate, responsive, and professional administrative support as needed;
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and training for other staff for data entry and retrieval to serve as back-up during peak times or staff absence;
- File Maintenance: Maintain hard copy and electronic donor and gift batch files in accordance with institutional needs, donor privacy requirements, and financial compliance;
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge and Abilities
- A Christian whose faith and life are in harmony with the doctrine of the Church of the Nazarene and the culture of Nazarene Bible College
- AA degree or equivalent experience in data management, nonprofit administration, or related field; Bachelor degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Raiser's Edge NXT software (or similar CRM).
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong understanding of fundraising principles and donor stewardship.
- Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with nonprofit financial practices, gift processing, donor acknowledgements, and basic reconciliation processes.
- Demonstrated experience with data integrity and data quality processes.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Ability to create and run complex queries, exports, and reports.
- Knowledge of data privacy and security standards.
