Dr. Rob Prince
NBC's New Ministry Center
Nazarene Bible College recognizes that many pastors feel isolated and disconnected, even as the challenges facing today’s leaders continue to grow. In response, we are developing a new, yet-to-be-named ministry center dedicated to raising up pastors marked by evangelistic zeal and personal holiness by providing further training, encouragement, and relational networks that combat isolation and foster a thriving, connected community of leaders. It will offer podcasts, theologically relevant content, teaching tools, vocational training, conferences, and other resources to help pastors and district superintendents navigate an ever-changing world.
"I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Rob Prince as the Executive Director of this new ministry center," says NBC President Rev. Doug Pierce
Rob Prince is the lead pastor at Flint Central Church of the Nazarene. Arriving just prior to the Flint Water Crisis, he has led this church through trying times in the city. During his tenure, the church has paid off $6.2 million in debt, eliminated $9.2 million in medical debt of residents in southeastern Michigan, built a park, renovated much of the current facilities of the church, developed partnerships throughout the city of Flint in numerous areas of need, and established a long-term partnership in Panama. In 2021, the church was awarded the Key to the City of Flint for its commitment to the community.
Prior to Flint, Rob pastored Central Church of the Nazarene in Lenexa, Kansas; Richfield Church of the Nazarene in Otisville, Michigan; Metropolitan Church of the Nazarene in Roseville, Michigan; and Bad Axe Church of the Nazarene in Bad Axe, Michigan. Each church experienced good health and growth during his time pastoring.
Rob has served on various district and college boards. He is currently serving on the Executive Committee of the Olivet Nazarene board of trustees and serves on the Eastern Michigan District advisory board and ministerial credentials board. During his time in Lenexa, he served on the General Superintendent’s Credential’s Committee.
Rob is the author of two books Chronic Pain: Finding Hope in the Midst of Suffering (published by the Foundry) and Got Cancer? There's Help: Tools for Victory in Life's Battle Royale. He writes a monthly article in Standard published by the Foundry and is the author of numerous articles in various publications.
Dr. Prince begins his ministry with NBC May 1 and will serve on the President’s Cabinet. We welcome Dr. Prince and his wife Karla to the NBC family!
