Torch Ceremony
In a very emotive Torch ceremony during Commencement, the NBC graduates vowed to carry the light of the Gospel to the world. As the lit Torch was passed from one graduate to the next, the charge was given to glorify God and to testify concerning the light of Jesus Christ so that through him everyone might believe.
Alumnus Gordon Smith challenged the graduates to join Nazarene Bible College alumni to fulfill the great commission. After each graduate gave their testimony of God’s call and faithfulness, freshman class, Pamela Dudley, concluded the Torch Ceremony by representing current students who will now continue with greater determination to finish their education and pass the torch on to those behind them.
