NBC at the Samoan Nazarene National Conference
The 2019 Samoan Nazarene National Conference was held this past week, July 11-14, in Payallup, Washington. Dr. David Church, NBC Vice President for Enrollment Management, was able to attend along with 500+ Samoans. Samoan culture was evident in the worship and the traditional dress worn.
Washington Pacific District Superintendent, Rev. Jerry Kester, was the special speaker opening night. NBC Alumni, Rev. Ritchie Asuega, was the evening preacher, Friday night. National Samoan Coordinator for USA/Canada, Rev. Taulima Oge, was the special speaker Saturday night. During the conference there were workshops, and youth and children’s ministries. There was a youth night, as well as a children’s program during Saturday’s worship service. The closing special speaker was Rev. Talomua Mona and the closing prayer was prayed by Tatalo Faamanuia.
NBC is happy with its long history of having Samoan students and graduates.
