Encouragement to Students
Excerpts from emails from Dr. Gary Haines - I imagine many of you can relate:
Good morning! I can see that you have a lot on your plate, but we both know that our Lord will be faithful to you! Amen?
I just read again Chapter 6 in Matthew and was reminded that He tells us not to worry but to just trust Him. Verse 33 has been my life verse for over 45 years now, and I’m so thankful how God has honored this in my life.
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33)
Stay encouraged, alright? Somehow, and in some way, God is going to get you through all this successfully, to His honor and glory!
Just lately, I heard Dr. Jeremiah on TV, and he said that “Perseverance comes down to two words: Relentless determination!” I love that, don’t you? PTL!
I heard a wonderful message by Dr. Jim Diehl (General Superintendent Emeritus) recently that he preached from Psalm 25:4-5, and the outline was so simple, yet right on! Show me, Teach Me, Lead me! “Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”
And the church where he preached this message was going through the process with their District Superintendent of a search for a new Pastor! And you know what, it finally happened, and that church is rejoicing as to how God honored this message to them! PTL!
Again, stay encouraged, and remember that Romans 8:28 is still in the Book, ok? “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
