Two Positions Open on the Canada West District

The Senior Pastor position is open at Medicine Hat Glenview Church of the Nazarene in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada.

Job Description:
Located in the southern part of Alberta, the city of Medicine Hat has a population of about 77,000 people. The Church of the Nazarene has been a part of the community since 1927. The present congregation loves the Lord and is committed to one another. They are looking for a pastoral leader who will equip and lead them to more incarnational ministry in the community that has moved next door to the church property. The church has had a strong attractional ministry in the past, and the next pastor will be well suited to help them become effective ministers beyond the walls of the church. The church leaders stated they would like to focus on the art of neighbouring. Potlucks are plenty! This position is favourable for American candidates as it is full-time.

The Senior Pastor position is open at New Hope Community Church of the Nazarene in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Job Description:
This urban church is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, a city with a population of nearly 840,000. New Hope is one of five Nazarene churches ministering in the city. Winnipeg is also home to one of our thriving compassionate ministry centres, Siloam Mission, which has a staff of 150+ and could potentially offer a job for a qualified spouse. New Hope has a mortgage-free building. The congregation has chosen to remain in the present location, to be an influence in the community. The senior pastor would be well suited to equip the congregation in becoming incarnational within the area. The senior pastor should become familiar with issues facing our Indigenous peoples of Canada. All of our Winnipeg congregations are multi-ethnic and reflect the diversity present in the city. New Hope has a history of strong collaboration with other churches, with Siloam Mission, and with our Nazarene campground, Lakeshore Camp, located about an hour out of the city. Like Winnipeg, this position is diverse and holds lots of opportunities to grow and experience different aspects of ministry. This position is also suitable for American candidates as it is full-time.
