MPP1021 - Communicating with Spoken and Written Language
Course Description
An introduction to the essential elements and processes of composing and developing the skills necessary for written and spoken communication.
Course Objectives
Intended Learning Outcomes
- Increase effectiveness in oral and written communication skills
- Improve accuracy in grammatical skills for both writing and speaking
- Learn and employ tools and techniques for organizing and outlining written and oral communication
- Learn the basics of good oral communication including the principles of persuasion
- To convincingly communicate God's mission to His people
The following are competencies for Ministry as outlined in the Sourcebook for Ministerial Development that will be addressed in this course:
- Ability to communicate publicly through multiple methods (oral, written, media, etc.) with clarity, and creativity, utilizing gender inclusive language. (CP1)
