I am so grateful for the scholarship awarded to me to assist me on my journey towards my BA is pastoral ministries. I graduated from nursing school in 2006, thought I had life figured out after college. Got married and had children. In 2011 my husband was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. I quit working my day job to care for him and my children. He passed in 2015. I was lost in grief for several years and depression took its toll on my mental health. In 2022, I surrendered my life to Jesus and accepted the call on my life. I applied to NBC this year not knowing how I would afford my education but have been trusting the Lord to provide whatever he has called me to do. This scholarship is a blessing and I honestly feel it is confirmation on the path he has laid out for me.
