Phil R.

Garnett, KS

My name is Phil Rhoades; I’m the district superintendent for the Church of the Nazarene, the Chaplin District. My connection to NBC is through students being used in our district for ministry positions.

The value of NBC for us is that we’re getting students who believe in the Nazarene doctrine. They love the church and are willing to do what it’s going to take to see souls won for the Kingdom and in our setting. Our theme is "Advance the Call." I believe those kids, those young adults coming out of NBC, are being trained right, theologically sound, and they’re going to help us reach our world for Christ.

Our staff members agree that NBC is the best choice for your ministry preparation. We accept applicants from all denominations, as there is only one body of Christ. Our students also come from diverse cultural backgrounds, which we celebrate as an institution. Training our students without changing who they are ensures they’re better equipped to serve in a diverse world.

As most of our students are adults with busy schedules, we’ve designed our training programs with flexibility in mind. Our programs seamlessly integrate with our students’ schedules for convenience. This way, learning is made accessible to our students as they enhance their skills to improve their service to God.
