Four Year College Degree

The Bachelor of Arts in Ministry degree (B.A.Min.) is designed for persons who wish to gain a breadth of ministry skills and knowledge in order to serve as ministers, counselors, educators or in supportive roles for the mission of the church and the redemptive work of God in this world.

The degree is based on a strong general studies component and advanced studies in Bible, theology, and ministry principles. Depending on the chosen major, the B.A.Min. degree is designed to prepare students for work as pastors, deacons, ministers of church music, counselors, and educators as well as prepare students for graduate work in the church.

The Associate of Arts degree in Ministry (A.A.Min.) with concentrations in Christian Educational Ministries, Church Ministries, Early Education, and Hispanic Pastoral Ministries is designed for persons who wish to gain ministry skills and knowledge in order to serve as lay workers in churches or Christian organizations.

Ministry Preparation Program (Certificate Program)

Fulfilling Education Requirements for Ordination Solely in the Church of the Nazarene

The Ministry Preparation Program (MPP) exists to prepare men and women for ordination as an elder or deacon in the Church of the Nazarene through a series of courses that earn one semester hour of credit each. NBC is approved by the Church of the Nazarene International Board of Education for training leaders toward ordination or commission in the ministries of the Church of the Nazarene. This program provides training for ministry however; ordination is accomplished through a student's denomination.

One hour of college credit will be given for each Ministry Preparation course completed. All work completed will be placed on an official NBC transcript. Students wishing to receive more credit for approximately the same amount of work should consider the regular degree program.

Ministerial Continuing Education (Non-college Credit)

Institute for Ministry Enrichment

Nazarene Bible College, in an effort to provide ministerial continuing education through an online delivery system, has created the Institute for Ministry Enrichment. This service to the church is designed as a high quality, low cost program that can benefit the clergy in every church.

Please Note: These continuing education classes are not for college credit and will not appear on an official college transcript. However, the registrar's office and the Academic office will keep records of each IME/Lifelong Learning class completed.
