Financial Awareness
April is “Financial Literacy” month! Many of us may have taken a course on budgeting or listened to a pod cast about financial planning. Reality is we could all use a reminder about the basic concepts of finances when data shows that more than half of employed persons live paycheck to paycheck. Take a few minutes to review some basics and find more helpful information on the Ramsey Solutions website.
Educational resources can be part of your financial plan! The Federal Government has developed a helpful section of their new StudentAid.gov website called “Financial Awareness Counseling.” All you need is your FSA ID# to log in and some additional income/expense information to reference. Most students complete the counseling in 20-30 minutes. Paying for your current education and preparing to pay for further education after NBC is something that you can work on starting today!
