Discovering Colorado Springs and Nazarene Bible College
This event replaces the New Student Retreat and will be held in Strickland Chapel on October 16, 2010 from 8:30 am-5:30 pm. While it is required of all new students, it is open to all NBC students. Bring your families and enjoy an exciting day of fellowship as we discover new things about Colorado Springs and NBC.
RSVPs will be required for this event and if needing childcare. If you signed up for the retreat at orientation, you are already signed up.
The recreation room will be available for the teens in the morning. Childcare will be available during the morning at Springs First Church beginning at 8 am for all children through age 12. Parents must pick up their children from childcare between 11:45 am and noon for lunch. The childcare will again be available in the afternoon only for infants up to age 5.
8 to 8:30 am - Check in with Shari at the table when you come in to receive credit for the "NBC Experience". Afterwards, a continental breakfast will be available in the foyer.
8:30 am - Dr. Graves will bring a greeting, followed by devotions.
A choice of seminars will take place throughout the morning:
- Dr. and Mrs. Tom King will talk to the married couples about "Keeping Romance Alive While at NBC".
- Dr. Terry Lambright will talk to the singles.
- Dr. Ron Attig will talk about "Maintaining Spiritual Vitality".
The afternoon will bring many fun activities for families, bounce houses for the children, a talk on the history of Colorado Springs, and a concert at 2:30 pm in Strickland Chapel presented by Nineveh Shore. We will end the day with a great cookout. Please join us and enjoy!
