NBC President Elected to Fourth 4-Year Term
The Board of Trustees of Nazarene Bible College unanimously reelected Dr. Harold B. Graves Jr. for a four-year term as its president, during its annual meeting September 26-27, 2018. Graves has been president of NBC since July 1, 2006. This will be his fourth term as the fifth president of the College, the longest serving president in the school's history. Prior to being elected president, Dr. Graves served as a member of the NBC Board of Trustees for 13 years and is now entering into his 13th year as president. His new term will run through the year 2022.
Graves continues his presidency at a key time in Nazarene Bible College's history. Having navigated through a transition from being primarily a campus-based college to an online-based institution, and having moved the administrative office to Lenexa, Kansas, this past year has shown that these were sound decisions both financially and strategically. President Graves expressed his confidence in the place Nazarene Bible College has in the denomination to fulfill this mission to prepare adults for ministry. Graves shared that in these 25 years as NBC President and Board member, the college's current fiver-year strategic plan looking forward has never looked better.
The Chairperson of the Board, Dr. Roy Rogers, said, "With God's leading and strength, President Graves has done an outstanding job of confronting the reality of the external environment." Responding to the Board's renewal vote, Dr. Graves said: "I am both humbled and honored, and I look forward to serving the mission of Nazarene Bible College with purpose and passion."
