Why Do People Donate to NBC?

People around the world donate billions of dollars each year to millions of charities for more reasons than anyone has ever listed completely, but the most basic idea seems to be that we give money to groups or institutions that will use the funds to do good things!

Why do people give to Nazarene Bible College?

According to Mrs. Donna Alder, she donates because of multiplication. “You’re not just investing in a person or two people or an institution by giving to NBC. You’re investing in a good number of people who are going to be investing in many, many more people, so it’s a multiplication! That's a real advance for Kingdom work.”

If you ask Phil and Joy Parke, they donate because of connections. “We started donating as Presidential Partners when Scott [Sherwood] was being installed as the president and spoke at Kansas City First Church. We had confidence in Dr. Sherwood’s leadership and responded to that request out of a desire to support a place that would do a good job preparing ministers in the Church of the Nazarene - both theologically and spiritually. We’ve been a part of churches with pastors who have gone through Nazarene Bible College. We feel like it is a great thing that NBC is doing – providing an alternative way for those called to ministry to get their training while still working.

Dr. Phillip and Mrs. Cheryl Fuller share that they donate because of a history of positive impact. “We have long believed in the mission and the product of Nazarene Bible College. It has produced effective pastors, and I believe the Church needs well-trained pastors.”
