Faculty Focus: Dr. Sandra Palm

Why did you enter your specialty?

I have felt called to teach since 7th grade. I started teaching high school history. When I returned for graduate studies, I went into my second love – English – because there were more English teaching jobs and I had a dream to teach English and History together.

Why are you at NBC?

As time went on, the Lord led me to have a desire to use my education and teaching experience in ministry.

Publications/current project:

I have written a book that deals with my salvation and early ministry called I Lift My Soul. At my local church, I serve as Women’s Ministry Director, and I write and organize Bible studies for women.

Best advice I ever received:

Never give up!

Friends describe me as:

A leader, loyal, funny, and empathetic.

Favorite Quotation:

“There are two place you need to go often: 1) The place that heals you, 2) The place that inspires you.” (Unknown)

Favorite place to visit:

Where there’s water: the ocean, lakes, and rivers.

Hobbies:

Reading, swimming, sewing, music, and painting
